Privacy Policy

Money Nomad is built from the ground up to be a privacy-first, offline-first application. We believe your financial data and travel history belong to you, and only you.

1. Local-First Data Storage

All your transaction data, descriptions, categories, and tags are stored locally on your device using an encrypted-ready local database (ObjectBox). We do not have servers that store your financial records.

2. Location Data

The application uses GPS coordinates to provide geographic context to your spending and to display your travel history on a map. This location data is processed and stored only on your device. It is never transmitted to us or any third-party tracking service.

3. Third-Party Services

• Google Maps: Used to display the map interface. Google may receive standard technical data necessary to serve map tiles.
• Currency Exchange APIs: The app fetches current exchange rates to provide conversions. These requests do not contain any of your personal data or transaction history.

4. No Tracking or Analytics

We do not use any analytics frameworks (like Google Analytics or Firebase), tracking pixels, or advertising identifiers. We have no way of knowing how you use the app or where you are traveling.

5. Data Portability & Deletion

Because your data is yours, we provide built-in export features so you can take your data with you at any time.

To delete your data: Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can permanently delete all information by simply uninstalling the application or clearing the application's storage in your device settings. We have no copy of your data once it is removed from your device.
